Screenwriters Lab is now open for submissions until 21 August 2026!

We are thrilled to announce that the submission portal for our inaugural Screenwriters Lab — an initiative of IMDA's Talent Accelerator Programme presented by the Screenwriters Association (Singapore) — is officially open.

More than a competition, Screenwriters Lab is a developmental journey that supports writers from the earliest stages of selection through to a final industry-facing pitch.

After the first round of judging, selected participants will be invited to exclusive masterclasses with renowned international mentors, before refining and elevating their concepts further. The Lab will then culminate in a live pitch to renowned international judges, where winners stand to walk away with attractive prizes.

• Online Masterclass Period: 16 September – 28 October 2026

• Live Pitch Session: December 2026
