About Screenwriters Lab
The inaugural Screenwriters Lab, an initiative of IMDA’s Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP) presented by the Screenwriters Association (Singapore), is a talent development programme designed to discover and nurture original episodic series concepts from Singapore writers.
Open to both emerging and experienced screenwriters, the Lab seeks distinctive voices and compelling stories across all genres. Selected participants will get to hone their projects under the guidance of acclaimed international writer-producers, gaining valuable insight into how to realise the creative and commercial possibilities of their ideas through a focus on concept development, story architecture, pitching and market readiness.

The Lab will culminate in a LIVE pitch, where finalists will present their projects to a panel of renowned industry professionals. Winning concepts will receive cash prizes and further development opportunities.
Â
Whether you are taking your first steps as a screenwriter or are looking to elevate your next big creative project, Screenwriters Lab offers you the platform to refine your craft, widen your network and bring your ideas closer to the screen. Submissions open on 24 July 2026.
Â
Submissions Period: 24 July 2026 – 31 August 2026.
